My school is great about allowing the puppies on campus, but not living in residence (at least not when I asked 5 years ago, and I haven't heard of any since).
I think I have heard of some colleges that have associated puppy clubs (the ones I remember were with The Seeing Eye) ... and I think at least one of them allowed the dogs in dorms. I can't find the name/website at the moment though.
Ok - here, this one http://www.eden.rutgers.edu/~ruseprc/index.html says that the dogs are not allowed in the dorms, but the puppy-raising members live in specific apartments on campus.
I personally haven't (still waiting on my first puppy and live in an apartment) but a guy goes to our campus who actually has a guide dog. He lives in the dorms and the school doesn't make a fuss about anything.. I don't know how your school feels about puppies in training but If I were you I would talk to whoever manages the dorms. If they have a problem with it maybe go to someone higher (pres. of the school maybe) and see what you can do to change it. There are certain laws that protect guide dog users from discrimination but not all those laws apply towards raisers.. depending on your state. Good luck and ask early so you can get everything started.
I know the college students around here had to get special housing, but pretty much they just had to ask and wait...however it was two girls and they both raised the pups together.
